Wexler Gallery’s booth for the inaugural edition of Design Miami/LA features works that break free from conventional boundaries and embrace a world of unleashed creativity - realized in exaggerated forms, unexpected materials, and imaginative color. The gallery is pleased to be debuting works by three new gallery artists, Nick Missel, Benjamin Gillespie, and Justin Wesley at the fair in Los Angeles. These artists address conceptual issues of consumption, consumerism, and identity through their visually arresting and cutting-edge designs. Showing alongside this new talent will be established gallery artists Gulla Jónsdóttir, Feyza Kemahlioglu, and Gregory Nangle. The artists featured each push the limits of their craft, creating an alluring environment of escapism.

Malene Barnett, Jomo Tariko, Feyza Kemahliaglu and Andreea Avram Rusu have all made the United States their home, but each remains deeply connected to their unique personal heritage. Wexler Gallery’s exhibition celebrates the rich connections these artists have to their homelands, while allowing them room to cultivate fresh applications to a variety of processes steeped in tradition.

Questioning and testing the boundaries of craft, design, and fine art, Wexler Gallery aims to present work that consistently celebrates formal innovation and conceptual content as much as aesthetic beauty. Wexler Gallery opened in 2000 in Philadelphia, expanded to New York City in 2018 and in 2023 opened their 11,500-square-foot flagship gallery in Philadelphia's vibrant rising Fishtown neighborhood. Since its inception, the gallery has proudly showcased extraordinary work by both established artists and the emerging talent of today.
