Description/
Polina Miliou’s Zourlo sculpture works both as a sculpture and as a functional object, as it is happy to safely store your fruits or spend the day with you at the park as a picnic basket.
Miliou’s imaginative pieces are full of color, irony, and positive energy. Zourlo is a curious little character made from paper pulp.

Polina Miliou
designer
Polina Miliou (b.1990, Greek) lives and works between Athens and Los Angeles. Miliou received her Diploma in Architecture Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Miliou is a Greek conceptual artist, known primarily for her life-size and larger than life functional sculptures made from discarded plastic items and other found garbage and covered with paper pulp. Miliou’s imaginative pieces are full of color, irony, and positive energy. Miliou comes up with really curious and fun little characters which make you see garbage and recycled materials from a whole new perspective making her art entertaining and yet educational. Her work has a history, some unknown past, and also a new story of appropriation and usage.
