Elisa Strozyk

Elisa Strozyk‘s innovative material Wooden- Textile is based on the traditional technique of marquetry but with the added movement of a flexible textile.
The surprisingly flexible and tactile wooden surface conists of endless small wooden tiles composed by hand on a textile base. The material can be draped into various shapes to become a sculptural art-piece or it can be installed flat as a wall-piece. This piece is produced with deep black dyed poplar wood.

The Wooden-Textiles are handcrafted in Elisa Strozyk‘s studio in Berlin, Germany.
