Paul Laszlo
designer
Paul Laszlo was a Hungarian-born Architect and Designer, born in 1900 in Debrecen. While being a successful architect in Europe, the political climate forced him to leave his homeland. He went to the United States and ended up in California, where he stayed until his death. While he started in architecture, the interior work and commissioned furniture pieces soon became his main job and he realized only a few architectural projects in his career. He worked constantly in his own studio in Los Angeles, in the late 1940’s he additionally worked with Noguchi, Nelson, and Eames for the furniture company Herman Miller.
