Description/
The Topo Menorah was inspired by the contour site models the designer made as a junior architect at IM Pei’s office early in her career. The form was designed parametrically using a visual programming language where the candle locations, heights, and diameters connect to each other creating map-like contours. The digital design was 3d printed and used to create a plaster mold to slip cast porcelain. The emergent objects are glazed in hues inspired by antique maps.
The Topo Menorah is the first object in her Topo series, which she plans to expand with other Judaica objects and tableware. More colors available on request.
