Description/
From the classic materials of mother-of-pearl, urushi lacquer, and keyaki elm, Terumasa Ikeda’s contemporary interpretation of the tea caddy strives to reach miyabi (‘elegance’). The lustrous abalone shell, which Ikeda finely sculpted into arabic numbers, shimmers like pearlescent pixels against black lacquer, mimicking the digital displays that dominate the modern technological age.
