Growing with You proposes versatile modules that adapt to different uses and spaces, a collection of functional, sculptural objects based on the studio’s core philosophy of ‘humanizing’ the constructed environment.

The collection consists of unique, cylindrical pieces made in natural materials such as marble, copper and lava rock, creating a versatile and dynamic space for contemplation. The proposal materialized as an industrial block turns out to be a machine equipped to house inside the possibilities of a transformable, compact and mobile library that, through fragmentation generates a multiplicity of forms and uses, as well as a dynamic space to expose books or objects.

The object becomes the generator of an interactive narrative between the useful space, the user and the reader, if we refer to each inner layer being extruded as layers of book pages.

A cylinder that can be very sculptural when its closed, but when it opens is transformed, giving different uses and dynamics that adapt to different spaces. The same volume that can move, change arrangement and even shape so that the distribution of furniture can be configured according to the user. When the piece is open, its composition is almost labyrinthine and enigmatic, inviting the book to discover the object. When it closes, it becomes an anonymous element in its environment.

Growing with You most elegantly captures the dynamic intersection between the minimalism of the industrial form and the poetic, organic capacities of traditional Mexican craft and materials.
