Soledad Lowe is an Argentine-Swedish FGA Gemologist, Jewelry Designer and Jeweler, who spent years in NYC and London, and currently resides in Miami. She started her career at some of the world’s leading auction houses. Soledad worked for Christie’s Jewelry Department in London and New York, as well as at Bukowskis Auction House and Stockholm Auction House in Sweden, where she regularly gave lectures in Gemology and Jewelry History. She also worked for the Swedish Court Jeweler W.A.Bolin. Soledad was later named Head Designer at the Japanese jewelry firm Yuri Ichihashi and then founded her own Gallery, Objets du Desir, in New York City. At her Gallery she showcased her own collections and exhibited other artists. The pieces were widely featured in several magazines, music videos and movies. Her bespoke jewelry brand was launched in late 2016. Her pieces harness inspiration from the realms of architecture, art and today's global cultural landscape. A delicate femininity collides with the jewelry’s graphic architecture, a decidedly modern take. Stark in their composition yet imbued with the warmth of the designer, resulting in an abstract aesthetic combined with more exuberant lines. Overall Soledad’s jewelry focuses on strong challenging shapes, creating pieces with contrast and close attention to details. Her artworks combine new technology methods with traditional techniques. All pieces are designed in Miami with recycled materials, hand-finished in the heart of NYC.
