Description/
Glenn Barkley’s work sits at a juncture between ceramics tradition, horticulture, and curation. It is based on organic plant forms as seen through the lens of ceramics history. It has distinct conceptual and formal relationships with ancient pottery, English & European porcelain, folk art traditions & production, as well as the studio pottery movement of the 20th Century. The work is also about more prosaic themes like talking to people, the internet, poetry, and popular music.
