"Oval" by Nina Malterud is an unique object made for the table but may also be arranged to hang on the wall. Several layers of glazes are applied within quite regular geometrical forms and re-fired several times to provide unique objects with complex patterns and unexpected expressions.
Nina Malterud
Designer
Nina Malterud was one of the pioneers of contemporary crafts in Norway from the 1970’s. She still draws on ceramic and functional traditions as sources, but her work is now positioned across the categories of fine art and crafts. Malterud has been working as a ceramic artist since 1975, in Oslo and later in Bergen. She has held several solo exhibitions and participated in international fairs, and her work is represented in all the main Norwegian museums of art and craft.
