No Screw No Glue is an iconic range of furniture and objects designed by Joost Van Bleiswijk in which the components are laser cut and assembled by slotting the pieces together. As the name implies, these pieces do not require screws, glue or other fixings.
Joost chooses the items with great care. It’s not only the style of design and the archetypical feel he finds very important, but also the narrative that springs from the object itself. After collecting hundreds of images he creates contemporary versions of long-forgotten objects such as a writing desk, standing clock, hourglass and a chessboard carefully hand-finished and unique.

No Screw No Glue is quickly becoming a classic and it is one of the most renowned collections of Joost van Bleiswijk.

A prolific Dutch designer, van Bleiswijk grew up in Delft and studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven—where he met his future partner, Kiki van Eijk. From his early famous No Glue No Screw collection, to the latest Mecchanic and Protopunk series, van Bleiswijk has always used bold shapes and strong lines to create daring new designs, defying usefulness and striving for audacious creativity. Van Bleiswijk’s collaborators include brands like MOOOI, Bernhardt Design, ICE Carpets, Secondome, and Ahrend. In recent years, he has designed for collectors, companies, and institutions, such as The Rijksmuseum, Design Academy Eindhoven, Venice Projects, Zuiderzee Museum, and Noord Brabants Museum. His work has been exhibited in private galleries and museums around the world, from Basel, London, Paris, Milan, and Venice, to New York, Tokyo, Moscow, and Holon.
