Description/
Over the past decade, gt2P (great things to People) have firmly established themselves within the contemporary craft and design discourse through their pioneering self-coined methodology “paracrafting”, which integrates art, science, cultural-material context, and contemporary production processes. By working within this signature framework, gt2P create a network of intersecting points that resonate across creative and cultural boundaries. The resulting work speaks in unexpected ways to our time —sometimes playful, sometimes poetic. The most recent outcome of their parametric approach to creation is their Monople Coffee Table; a flowing form of rounded and straight, overlapping layers executed in black lacquered Ash. Rendered via applying a specific set of mathematical rules to a three-dimensional grid to mimic tectonic movements, the culminating object is an expression of continuity and displacement.

"Our work methodology has two dimensions. First, we seek to systematize knowledge and observation, whether of natural, artificial, geometric or spatial, phenomena, through generative algorithms. Here parametric design is a tool to guide the planning of projects that we carry out, enabling the integration of its stages of design, development and production." - Gt2p
