Description/

Awarded the International Young Talent of the Year 2017 by Elle Decor, MATTEO CIBIC is an Italian trans-media artist, designer and master in luxury fun, based in Italy. He is known for his objects with hybrid functions and joyful shapes.
Meet Monsieur ELIE, the lovable grand elephant that challenges stereotypes as it gleams in its anthropomorphous glory. A mix of humor, luxury and utility, ELIE goes beyond furniture – a magical, sculptural object, almost life like, that makes you smile every time you glance at them.
ELIE is a showstopper with its brass head and smart uniform. It opens up as a fantastic sculptural cabinet. It is meticulously crafted by fine craftsman in India using cast brass in a painstakingly intricate inlay technique. It is exclusively designed for Scarlet Splendour by Matteo Cibic and this burgundy color is exclusive to Design Miami/.
Matteo is an international award-winning designer and his work is published internationally. He works indiscriminately with industrial processes and small artisans for luxury brands, private collectors and cultural institutions. Museums: Centre Pompidou (Paris), Shanghai Museum of Glass, St. Etienne Design Biennale, Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Venzia, Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts (Lausanne). Matteo has numerous corporate clients including: Centre Pompidou, Gas jeans, HFC, JCP, La Rinascente, Lane Crawford, Miroglio Fashion Group, Moret, Nespresso, Obag, PaolaC, Scarlet Splendour, Starbucks, TIM Telecom, and Timberland.
