Description/
Always keeping the wearer in mind, Man Ray’s jewels are never impractical or obtrusive. His ‘Le Trou Ring’ fitting example of his exploration of jewellery as a means to play with illusion, language and form as he employed the medium to further explore the artistic preoccupations of his career. Designed to affect the perception of the wearer it is a fitting addition to his Surrealist oeuvre.

Man Ray

Man Ray (born Emmanuel Radnitzky) was an American visual artist who spent most of his career in Paris. He was a significant contributor to the Dada and Surrealist movements, although his ties to each were informal. He produced major works in a variety of media but considered himself a painter above all. He was best known for his pioneering photography, and he was a renowned fashion and portrait photographer. Man Ray is also noted for his work with photograms, which he called "rayographs" in reference to himself.
