German born artist Iris Eichenberg, heads the metals department at the prestigious Cranbrook Academy of Art (Michigan). She is currently exhibiting Where Words Fail, a solo exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Craft & Design, which is slated to be exhibited at the Lowe Art Museum in Miami in Fall/ Winter 2023.
Hügel is comprised of steel filaments protruding from a patinated steel backdrop. Is it a landscape? Hair? Eichenberg prefers to leave you to find your own answer.
