This is part of HOMEWORK, the 8 piece Collection that Studio Job created for MOSS in 2007.As we described it then: “Part domestic utility, part heroic sculpture, these hand-wrought common household objects define the term oxymoron and cast to the winds the traditional approach to both sculpture as well as design practice.”Each of the ‘heroic’ sculptured objects in each piece is fully functional, despite being oversized and cast in bronze which renders them essentially too heavy to lift.The entire collection of eight pieces is in the permanent collection of the Groninger Museum, the Netherlands.
