Brett Douglas Hunter is a self-taught artist living and working in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Illinois, he comes from a family of self-propelled artists and builders, seemingly destined to be a maker from day one. After several years of supporting himself making and selling folky plywood paintings and creations, he dove head-first into the world of sculpture, creating weird and wonderful creatures for home and outdoor use using a fibrous cement mixture. His work is seen at major art and music festivals and in collector's fields.
