The Gradienti Collection is inspired by the infinite shades of color found in the sky. These mouth-blown glass vases are hand-crafted in a furnace in the foothills of the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. The technique used is called “sfumato”. The two colors of molten glass are joined at the beginning of the manufacturing process and then immersed in a thin layer of transparent glass. The resulting glass is mouth-blown into a wooden mold and hand-modelled to the desired shape. After cooling for about 24 hours, the vases are sandblasted and waxed to obtain a frosted effect.
Being handmade, each piece is unique.
