GIRIA, Tree Bark Bottle-Vase
GIRIA in Lithuanian means an old-growth forest that has attained great age without significant disturbance. The project is aimed to pass the sensations of the forest through material, bringing nature to the urban home.
It is a result of an experimental process by which it was meant to show how materials, which are destined to become waste, can be transformed into sustainable design through the traditional crafts.
Each GIRIA piece is made by hand from the bark of different kinds of trees – Oak, Pine, Ash and tree leafs – that gives a unique texture and color.
This custom-made-to-order piece will be created in the designer’s studio once the purchase is complete. Due to its bespoke nature, a Design Miami/ client services representative will be in touch with the estimated production time and expected ship date.
