Designed in 2015 by Rodrigo Simão, the “Feijão” pays tribute to the awarded designer’s country of origin not only in its name, which means “bean” – a staple of the Brazilian menu. Simão’s take on the traditional rocking chair showcases Brazil’s natural diversity with the use of three naturally colorful kinds of reclaimed hardwood: Pink Peroba, Canela and Imbuia. Made with the combination of Industrial and artisanal techniques, the “Feijão” features one seamless surface with no visible joints, emphasising the graphic pattern of stripes composed by the contrasting woods.
