Description/
This one-of-a-kind piece by emerging talent Ali Shah Gallefoss is composed of casted aluminum. It is part of the series “Mixing, trixing and fixing,” which debuted at Oslo’s Galleri Format in the exhibition “UNiK mini” in December 2020.

Ali Gallefoss (b. 1989, Oslo) completed a bachelor’s degree in Furniture and Spatial Design at Norway's Bergen Academy of Fine Art and Design in 2018. He now lives in Oslo, where is is pursuing a master’s degree at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In 2019, Gallefoss created a sculpture from surplus scarves and cut-offs from the stone industry for the Norwegian clothing brand Holzweiler, which was subsequently installed at Dover Street Market in Beijing. The sketches from the process were turned into a clothing collection. In 2020, he won Bo Bedre’s Design Award for Newcomer of the Year. In 2021, Gallefoss completed Holzweiler’s new store in Bergen, in collaboration with Snøhetta.
