Description/
Fabien Cappello is very much inspired by his surroundings. But mere observation and “inspiration” are not enough for Cappello; he strives to transform what he sees into something else, something more: a personal, inimitable vision. What inspires Cappello about Mexico are not the clichéd color schemes-which pre-dates his arrival to Mexico City-but the improvisational qualities of the local craftmanship. By simple selection and recontextualizing these existing objects, Cappello generates a new dialogue about form and usage, drawing attention to the overlooked.
