Description/
Dietmar Weihrauch’s goal was to construct a cabinet that would personify defiance and defense. The warrior stands on solid, squared legs. Its straight and uncompromising lines are a demonstration of strength and invincibility and its outer surfaces are protected by an armor of wooden thorns. This impregnable fortress has no need for locks. The secret lies in the turn of a thorn.
Sanded Oak.

"My objects and furniture are shaped by impressions that I collect while traveling or on forays into my immediate surroundings. I am equally inspired by nature and architecture. With the selection of woods and the way they are processed, I depict what I discover and perceive. My goal is to create objects that inhabit the space.
My objects and sculptural furniture are abstractions of impressions collected while traveling and exploring my immediate surroundings. Nature and architecture are both equally inspiring to me. By selecting the appropriate woods and techniques, I recreate my discoveries and observations. My goal is to create objects that inhabit the space they are placed in."
