Description/

This exceptional ceiling light consists of two light arms, one of which acts as a counterweight to the other. The whole balances as a Calder’s Mobile. One of the reflectors is in black lacquered metal, the other in plexiglass, the whole of which measures nearly 2.80 m in wingspan.
The first reflector must illuminate the ceiling while the other projects its light on a table or the armchair in a living room.
One reflector thus gives the ambient light of the room while the other provides a more punctual light. This complex lighting fixture was designed in the late 1950s as the pinnacle of the 1957 range with the conical plexiglass and metallic lacquers. We do not know of any other models today with this balanced double counterweight system and this is the only exemplary known.
It is therefore the only double pendulum ceiling light known in the world today.

Style: French Mid-Century.
