Description/
Far from the codes of 20th-century industrial design, Léa Mestres proposes contemporary furniture with a soft geometry. Her work is characterized by everyday objects considered sculptural phenomena. During her previous Solo Show, “I’m a living room” two series were in poetic dialogue, offering visitors a warm environment. Without any restrictions, Léa imagines pieces at the limit of design and sculpture. The Bubble series reveals deliberately asymmetrical furniture where the solid and the soft are combined. Today, Léa goes further in her artistic approach: always guided by freedom, she now integrates more noble materials into her collections, such as the Bubble stool shaped and sculpted in the marble mountains. These marbles and onyxes, of fascinating workmanship, are available in different colors.
