Brina, low (aquamarine)
Description/
Brina – meaning in Italian “frost” – is a collection of Murano mouth-blown glass vases which have a delicate, elegant and timeless appearance.
“Filigrana” is a refined glass working technique invented in Murano in the 16th century, which requires the use of glass rods hand-made beforehand and containing milky white glass threads. The complex technique called “incalmo” is then used to join while hot the light aquamarine glass of the lower part with the white “filigrana” of the top.
For the realization of one piece, the master glassblower needs great ability, precision and patience.
Being handmade, each piece is unique.
