Malcolm Mobutu Smith


Malcolm Mobutu Smith is an artist and Associate Professor of Ceramic Art at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He earned an MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, and studied ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute and Penn State University where he completed a BFA. Mobuto Smith’s works have been presented nationally and internationally, including at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, the Haan Museum of Indiana Art, FuLed International Ceramic Art Museum, Beijing, China, and the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan.
