Description/
Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler were the founders of the influential Brazilian design studio Forma in the 1950s.
This low armchair demonstrates the central tenets of their modernist design philosophy, characterised by the use of Brazilian woods and thin tubular frames, contrasted against the clean upholstered finish.
Hauner and Eisler were two among many of the mid-century designers who moved to South America, capitalising on a time when fresh materials and new processes were being introduced into the commercial market.
