Description/
AMORPHOUS is shapeless and without order. The project is an exploration of the physical and digital and between production and craft. AMORPHOUS SOLIDS are direct translations of hand-drawn motifs. Organic and immediate, the extruded structures are intersected with straight lines to create cell-like chambers. Each chamber suggests a place for something, but for what is unclear. The amorphous forms can be developed into endless new structures. 3D printed in silica and phenol resin, the granular surface texture is a result of a process typically used in casting mold production. Here the material is allowed to remain as a final solid form, a facsimile of its hand-drawn origin.
