Description/
Produced by Royal Tichelaar Makkum, the Netherlands. Rare, out of production and in perfect condition.
Venerated Dutch porcelain make Makkum was losing business because customers no longer wanted their expensive hand painted tableware.
Smart, young Dutch designer Jurgen Bey decided time was the culprit. The painters spent too much time on each piece. So he limited them to 40 minutes. As much as they could paint in 40 minutes, that would be it, resulting in beautiful incomplete but charming and affordable pieces.
