About
By celebrating craftsmanship and fostering new experimentation, Twenty First Gallery brings an unparalleled selection of collectible design to the New York and International market. Founded in 2007 by French applied arts expert Renaud Vuaillat, the platform brings together a select group of European artists excelling in various mediums to create new format-defying work that captivate collectors in new ways. Through carefully curated solo exhibitions and a strong presence at major international fairs, Twenty First Gallery is an essential resource for unique furnishings and artworks.
Originally opening a gallery on Paris’s left bank and moving to New York in 2006 to establish Twenty First Gallery a year later, Vuaillat dedicated himself to supporting the work of living talents. Looking past fading trends, the gallerist is able to tap into his extensive knowledge of design history while identifying the practices and principles that stand the test of time. Twenty First Gallery believes in the value of living with design as art and celebrating work that can convey a narrative and over the course of almost two decades has established itself as one of New York’s preeminent purveyors of thought-provoking functional design produced with quality materials and mastery in mind.
