Oficina de Mosaicos

Paulo Werneck (1907-1987) was Brazil’s foremost mosaic muralist, who often collaborated with modernism masters such as Oscar Niemeyer between the 1940’s through the late 70’s.

Oficina de Mosaicos, a mosaic studio founded in 1982, has been reproducing Werneck’s iconic mosaics for the last ten years, collaborating with Werneck’s grandson and Miami-based designer Gaspar Saldanha. They recently formed a partnership to produce a collection of outdoor furniture and accessories with reinterpretations of Werneck’s designs.

The weather-resistant pieces are limited edition of 10 and made with vintage glass tesserae from VIDROTIL.
