Todd Merrill Twentieth Century and Studio Contemporary are known as the source for the best American and European vintage furniture and contemporary artist-produced decorative arts.

Todd Merrill is located in New York City’s only building by the father of American Modernism, esteemed architect Louis Sullivan. Merrill, a third generation dealer, opened his business in and quickly became known for a mix of American studio and custom furniture, as well as European furniture and lighting.

In 2008, Rizzoli published Merrill's book Modern Americana: From High Craft to High Glam, the first book to define the genre of American Studio and custom furniture of the post-war period. In 2009, Merrill launched Studio Contemporary to showcase the work of established and emerging studio artists including Michael Coffey, Joseph Walsh and Yardsale Project. Studio Contemporary has become an exhibition-based artists showcase, showing at the best art and design fairs in the world. New artists include Beth Katleman, Katsuyo Aoki and Jeanne Quinn.
