Galerie Maria Wettergren specializes in Scandinavian contemporary design by Astrid Krogh, Mathias Bengtsson, Louise Campbell, Ditte Hammerstroem, Cecilie Manz, Niels Hvass, Rasmus Fenhann, Erling Christoffersen, Line Depping, Jakob Joergensen, Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, Harri Koskinen, Ilkka Suppanen, Timo Salli, Mikko Paakkanen, Katriina Nuutinen and Kristiina Wiherheimo.
The main focus of the gallery is the experimental, poetic design born of our present time, which opens up new perspectives while keeping in mind the experience of the past. The gallery is presenting works in which new ideas, technologies and materials are combined with the Scandinavian tradition for excellent handcraft, giving rise to sculptural objects with multiple functions.
Since it’s opening, the gallery makes limited editions and organizes exhibitions of both established designers and emerging talents from the new Nordic design scene.
