Telluric Matter. Telluric Matter includes several pieces that focus on raw, honest materials that have been manipulated in unexpected ways. Founder Simon Stewart has curated ‘Telluric Matter’ as an appreciation of materials that come from the earth. The artists featured have mastered the use of raw materials, celebrating mediums such as reclaimed mahogany, plaster, limestone and glass to create exaggerated forms. The exhibition is a representation of how extra-terrestrial concepts with imagined and exaggerated forms can be achieved through terrestrial means and practices used for ancient craft. During Design Miami/, works will be presented by Reynold Rodriguez, DenHolm, Dawn Bendick, Jean-Gabriel Neukomm and Fredrik Nielsen.
